James started turning wrenches in his father's two-bay shop in 1999 and earned his ASE Master certification in 2006. He spent 12 years managing an independent service center before moving to an ALI-certified lift inspector role, where he has personally evaluated more than 400 residential and commercial lift installations. He now leads editorial at Car Lift For Garage, where every review and buying guide passes under his certification and install experience. When he's not under a vehicle, he's rebuilding a 1967 Camaro and a matched pair of Honda CB750s.
